Up for a field trip? Join Martina Sestakova for a workshop, during which you will play with watercolors and create a landscape painting filled with colors and textures. We will chat about a trip the French artist Claude Monet took in 1891 to the Netherlands and discover his love for the local windmills, tulip fields, and rushing streams.Â
Focus: Introduction to wet on wet and wet on dry techniques, basics of composition, sketching.
Supplies:
3 sheets of watercolor paper (9″ x 12″)
1 cup for water
1 watercolor paints (tray or tubes)
1 watercolor brush (or a variety)
1 pencil
1 sheet of copy paper
Instruction will be provided through the Zoom platform. Students will need to have a webcam and the ability to download zoom on their computer, phone, or tablet.
