Love watercolor but can’t commit to a series class this season? Join our Zoom group class and create a wonderful piece of wall art to display in your home! This project combines watercolor and ink.
First, make a list of things you could draw a simple “ink doodle” about. Maybe it is a kitchen item, a fruit, vegetable, a wheelbarrow or other garden image, or a dog or cat. You will use a rounded watercolor brush (good quality watercolor paper recommended, try 140 lb. on a sheet about 11” x 14”. You’ll mix some pleasing colors and make ovals and circles with just a touch of the brush (your instructor will demonstrate this). While those are drying, use a pencil and scrap paper to perfect your doodle.
- Watercolor paper (140 lb, 11″x14″ recommended)
- Watercolor paint
- Scrap paper
- Ink Pen
