Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
Come explore this ancient and mesmerizing artform that allows you to create unique, swirling patterns on paper, fabrics, and more. Learn to create beautiful, marbleized fields of floating color, then through a simple dipping technique, transfer these to a variety of surfaces. The results can include marbleized papers for a variety of paper-crafts, fabrics such as wearable scarves or wall-hangings, canvas or straw handbags and hats!
While the history of this craft dates back to 10th-century China and Iran, its just as magically captivating today!
This Center for Craft Studies program is made possible in part by a generous grant from the Windgate Foundation.
