Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
Lengthen the life of your denim jeans, jackets and other garments, while also adding your own personal style with visible mending. Join us as we learn all about visible mending–a way of repairing rips and holes in your garments with patches and decorative embroidery stitches.
In this workshop you can repair an existing garment or just practice the techniques using fabric swatches. We will cover patching from the outside, inside, sashiko stitching and darning. Participants may bring their own clothing items to mend. Workshop supplies will be provided, including needles, thread, fabric scraps, and marking pen.
This class is for ages 14 and up.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed three days prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
