Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
Confluence brings together the many creative currents that shape VisArts as both a site of learning and a community of practicing artists. This exhibition highlights the interconnected roles of faculty, staff, and students, each contributing to a shared environment where ideas are exchanged, skills are developed, and artistic practices evolve.
VisArts’ faculty are accomplished artists working across a wide range of media, from ceramics and painting to fiber, glass, photography, and sculpture. In the classroom, they guide students through processes of experimentation, material exploration, and conceptual development. Beyond teaching, their work is exhibited nationally and internationally and is represented in public and private collections. The faculty section of Confluence reflects the depth and diversity of their individual practices, offering insight into the creative lives that inform their teaching.
