Do you want to bring positive change into your life? Are you looking for a fun afternoon to connect with others? Then come to VisArts and join Tim Kime, former CEO of Leadership Greater Washington, and envision the next chapter of your life as you take a piece of furniture from drab to fab.
During this highly interactive session participants transform second-hand and cast-aside furniture and household items, while developing realistic and doable action steps for their next big thing. Participants leave the sessions with a transformed item, which is a metaphor of the change they are embracing and making happen in their lives. They also leave with new connections and support of the community created during the workshops.
All you bring is yourself, an item to be transformed and an open mind. Paint, materials, tools and other things for your project are provided as part of your registration fee. This workshop is wonderful for multi-generational groups, but you must be 14 or older to attend.
Your item needs to be movable so wooden chairs, side tables, carts or other such items are ideal. Items with flat surfaces yield the best results.
