Making Handmade Tableware is a wonderful way to combine all the pottery techniques of handbuilding. wheelthrowing and surface decoration with the love of cooking and food. Explore the handbuilding techniques of pinch, coil and slab to make tableware. Give a personal voice to your work with decorating techniques in the wetware, leatherhard and bisque stages. No experience needed for handbuilding techniques. Basic wheelthrowing skills will be expected.

Each student receives a credit for 2,000 cubic inches of glaze firings per 8-week session (pro-rated for shorter sessions). Glaze overages are charged at .04 an inch and are due when billed at the conclusion of the session. Each session glaze credit is only available in that session and CANNOT be carried forward from semester into another semester. Clay is not included in registration and may be bought online or in the administrative office during business hours.
