This class meets 3 times total from 10am to 4pm on Wednesdays January 19th, February 16th and March 16th.
After the effort of creating a beautiful form from clay, a potter needs a toolbag of decoration methods to take their work to the next level. In this surface decoration intensive students will learn techniques and strategies to enhance and not detract from their work. Each week students will explore several surface techniques and will work on test tiles to experiment with them and begin the process of using them on the work that is brought to class.
Some techniques covered (this is not inclusive) are slip trailing, stenciling, sprigging, decals and photo transfers. Bring our ideas and together we will bring them to life. This class will arm you with a variety of skills to use on your vessels in the future.Â
This class does not include a shelf or locker.
