This class is designed to explore the two and three dimensional possibilities of clay.  A 2-D circle can be a 3-D sphere.  A 2-D square can be a 3-D cube. A 2-D rectangle is a 3-D cylinder and a 2-D triangle is a 3-D cone. Pieces will be made on the wheel and/or handbuilt one week and finished and decorated the next week.  The finishing and surface decoration will be chosen to enhance the  2 or 3 dimensions of the given shapes.

Students can rent a wheel from VisArts HERE. Or this class may be done entirely using handbuilding methods.

Clay may be bought online and finished greenware and glaze work may be brought to and picked up from VisArts using our weekly sign-up. Only students enrolled in an
online class will be allowed to use the pick-up and drop-off schedule.

All virtual classes are based in Zoom. Students will need to have a webcam and the ability to download Zoom on their computer, phone or tablet. Access to the Zoom
classroom will be made available after registration. The same access code will be used every week.
