Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
Bring your imagination to life in this six-week sewing workshop where creativity meets craftsmanship! Guided by an experienced instructor, participants will design and create a custom garment for their child — ready to shine in our final Children’s Fashion Show.
Basic bodice patterns will be provided; all you need to bring is your design idea and enthusiasm. Throughout the course, you’ll learn pattern adaptation, fabric selection, sewing techniques, and decorative detailing to make your creation one-of-a-kind.
Weekly Schedule:
Week 1: Design your pattern from the basic bodice and choose your fabric; begin cutting your pieces.
Week 2: Begin sewing your garment together.
Week 3: Continue garment construction and fitting adjustments.
Week 4: Finish sewing and hem your design.
Week 5: Add hand-sewn embellishments such as beads, sequins, and other decorative details.
Week 6: Celebrate your hard work — dress up your model for the runway and participate in the Children’s Fashion Show!
This class is for ages 14 and up.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed three days prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
