Parallels and Peripheries: Migration and Mobility seeks to explore how emigrant and first generation immigrant artists are using their platform to negotiate issues of migrations, mobility, identity, visibility and invisibility in a time of social volatility. Artist Aram Han Sifuentes’ Protest Banner Lending Library is a communal sewing space to support each other’s voices, an opportunity to gain banner-making skills and a place to borrow handmade banners to use in protests. View Sifuentes’ work on view at VisArts Kaplan Gallery and make your own protest banner.

All materials are provided. No sewing skills are necessary. Ages 12+
