SUMMARY:Portrait Painting
DESCRIPTION:This course will begin with the fundamentals of painting and teach students how to paint in Jay Durrah’s abstract portrait style. The lessons will explore painting materials\, as well as foundational art practices such as color\, line\, shape and form. Then lessons will transition to tools for painting portraits such as grid drawing\, shading and different ways to paint facial features. This course is introductory\, so the goal is to facilitate the practice of portrait painting\, not perfect it. Participants will apply the techniques they studied to create the final self portrait. \n\nThis class is for ages 14 and up. \n\nPlease use the Notes section on the registration form to list any accommodations needed during the class.\n\nClasses require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment\, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
