Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
This introductory course is designed to get you comfortable with the basics of drawing.
We’ll start with essential materials and the core elements of art: color, line, shape, and form. Then, we’ll shift to portrait techniques—grid drawing, shading, and different ways to capture facial features.
The focus is on building your skills through practice, not chasing perfection. By the end, you’ll use what you’ve learned to create your own self-portrait.
This class is for ages 14 and up.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
