Students will learn the technique from first a simple butterfly template provided based on Mexican folk art, and for the second meeting, a very simplified version of the Swiss squirrel design pictured. How to hold the scissors, how to hold the paper as you go, and the cutting technique will be demonstrated.
Materials Needed:
- Two templates (to be postal mailed possibly)
- Black paper (3 or 4 sheets 9 x 12” or 8.5 x 11”)

- One white colored pencil
- Eraser
- (optional) X-acto knife, a couple extra #11 blades, and a ‘self-healing cutting mat’
This is an adult class for ages 17 and up.
Instruction will be provided through the Zoom platform. Students will need to have a webcam and the ability to download zoom on their computer, phone, or tablet.
