Painting with the Pros – Georgia O’Keeffe – Online Class

This class is part of our free class series in honor of Women’s History Month.

Georgia O’Keeffe was an American artist, best known for her paintings of large flowers, New York skyscrapers, and landscapes. O’Keeffe began creating the large flower paintings that she is most famous for in the 1920s.
She painted over 200 flower paintings.

Now more than ever you need a creative break and the opportunity to be a part of a community. This class is perfect for students of any skill level as your instructor will walk you through the step-by-step process beginning at sketching your design all the way through the finishing steps.

Instruction will be provided through the Zoom platform. Students will need to have a webcam and the ability to download zoom on their computer, phone or tablet.

Materials are purchased separately and include: 4-ounce bottles of red, yellow, blue, white, and black acrylic paint, a set of high quality paint brushes, and one 16×20 inch stretched canvas. Students may purchase a pack of all the materials hereStudents who only need partial materials can purchase individual supplies here.

If you choose to use materials at home, you will need the following: acrylic paint (red, yellow, blue, black, white), paint brushes, a pencil, and a canvas/other surface.

All virtual classes are based in Zoom. Students will need to have a webcam and the ability to download Zoom on their computer, phone or tablet. Access to the Zoom classroom will be e-mailed the day before the class starts.
