Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
Armed with a pad and colored pencils, sleuth out new subjects to sketch each week in the pedestrian-only section of Rockville Town Square. Learn to use shade and tone and represent textures and surfaces to capture scenes in the square. Each of the five sessions will be a drawing scavenger hunt focusing on a new category of objects to find and draw, including things that grow, man-made structures, and people. We’ll compare drawings and talk about how to improve and grow drawing skills. For all levels and all materials are provided.
There are many places to sit and sketch in Rockville Town Square, but you may feel more comfortable bringing a portable stool.
Students will meet in front of VisArts at 155 Gibbs. If it rains, we’ll continue drawing either under the bandstand cover or inside VisArts.
This class is for ages 14 and up.
Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
