Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
This weeklong ceramics boot camp is the perfect way to jump-start your pottery journey!
You’ll learn effective, ergonomic, and efficient clay management on the wheel, along with the nitty-gritty details of wedging, centering, throwing, and trimming basic cylinders and bowls.
The focus is on building skills through repetition—you’ll start plenty of pots, but you’ll keep only the ones that show your progress. By the end of the week, you’ll be on your way to creating a matching set of functional pottery: bowls, vases, mugs, or cups.
This class is for ages 14 and up.
Clay isn’t included with registration, but may be bought online or in the administrative office during business hours.Â
Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
