In this six-week class, students will work with a variety of media. Because students will be able to use an assortment of materials in this class, they will gain the knowledge to focus on specific media when furthering their art education. Different projects, techniques, and skills will be taught in each session so this is a great class for children to attend multiple times!
Planned projects will include collagraph printmaking, paper cutting craft, working with antique portraits of famous artists (hand-coloring and decorating), and a 3-D project to be announced.  A collagraph is essentially a collage of materials of various textures glued onto a printing plate, often a thin wood or cardboard. The plate is inked up with a brayer (hand roller) and then printed onto paper.
We encourage independence with our youngest learners; all children’s classes are designed to be drop-off only. Grown-ups are not permitted to stay in the classroom with their children.Â
Please use the Notes section on the registration form to list any accommodations you will need during the class.
