This session will cover the basics of preparing fiber for dyeing, using mordants as a foundation for natural dyes. Mordants are fixatives that help attach dyes to fabric. In this workshop, Kenya will demonstrate how to prepare fabric (such as upcycled unused materials or garments) for dyeing using natural mordants.
