Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
Discover the exciting world of three-dimensional art in this hands-on mixed media sculpture class. Students will explore a wide range of materials—such as cardboard, wire, wood, fabric, clay, recycled objects, and found materials—to construct imaginative and expressive sculptures.
Through guided prompts and open-ended exploration, you’ll learn basic building techniques, how to safely manipulate tools and adhesives, and how to integrate texture, color, and form into your work. Emphasis will be placed on creative problem-solving, experimentation, and personal expression. Whether you’re creating abstract forms or representational figures, this class encourages innovative thinking and bold design.
This class is for ages 14 and up.
This Center for Craft Studies program is made possible in part by a generous grant from the Windgate Foundation.
Please use the Notes section on the registration form to list needed accommodations.
Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
