In this exciting weekend workshop with renowned ceramic sculptor Kevin Rohde, students will create a 3/4 size human portrait bust using the solid building method with an internal armature. Details of specific facial features will be covered including eyes, nose, mouth, ears, and hair. Students will learn how to remove the bust from the armature, hollow, and reassemble for kiln firing. Registration includes bisque and firing to vitrification.
All materials except clay are provided. Standard 308 (Brooklyn Red) is suggested for this class; if you have your own sculpting tools, please feel free to bring them, There will be a one-hour meal break each day of class.
