Maker Series Workshop: Sashiko Mending

Instructor:

Eliza Clifford

Discover the art of sashiko, a traditional Japanese stitching and embroidery technique used to mend, reinforce, and embellish clothing.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the modern application of sashiko to repair or decorate your own clothes.

We’ll cover essential sashiko stitches and designs and how to reinforce worn areas or add unique detail to garments.

Join us and practice hand-sewing skills while refreshing your wardrobe!

Important: Bring an item from your closet to work on.

Ages 14 and up.

Please use the Notes section on the registration form to list needed accommodations.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
