Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
In this new four-week class, students will learn selected skills and techniques helpful in developing a fused glass creative practice. The class is open to new and returning students, those who want to continue to explore working in glass and those who want a taste of what is possible. Â Students will be encouraged to pursue their own aesthetic views in design.
Each week a new project will focus on a different technique or type of glass.
Techniques include the optical illusion of woven glass, an introduction to reactive glass, considerations for draped work, transparent color dilution and cold work and grinding.
This class is offered through VisArts’ Center for Craft Studies.
This class is for ages 14 and up.
