Soft pastels are a versatile medium: a cross between painting outside and drawing. They are fun to use and create beautiful special effects. This class will introduce students to basic techniques of pastel drawing. Blending, color mixing, and composition will be our focus. Subject matter will be still life, drawing from photographs, and because pastels are a very portable medium we may draw outside, weather permitting.
This class is for ages 14 and up.
