Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
In this fun and hands-on painting class, kids will learn how to use acrylic paints to create their own amazing artwork. They’ll discover how to mix colors, use different brush techniques, and paint in layers. One of the big things we’ll focus on is how to show light and shadow in a painting, which helps their pictures look more realistic and full of depth.
Students will work from real objects and photos to help them observe shapes, colors, and details. They’ll learn how to look closely and paint what they see while also adding their own creativity and style. Throughout the class, students will complete several projects that let them explore different techniques and materials in a fun, encouraging environment.
This class is perfect for young artists who are excited to grow their painting skills and express themselves through art!
We encourage independence with our youngest learners; all children’s classes are designed to be drop off only. Children under 13 must be dropped off and picked up at their classroom by a parent or caregiver.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
