Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
Join instructor Katie Hartley for an introductory oil painting course with a focus on painting objects from life. This course will focus on the foundational concepts of painting, including composition, form, and value, along with an in-depth overview of mark making and painting techniques with oil. With painting demos by the instructor, references to contemporary artists, and guided critiques, students will have the chance to immerse themselves in the art of oil painting.

This class is for ages 14 and up.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
