Introduction to Craft Media: Fiber Arts

This course introduces a variety of fiber arts practices, with an emphasis on creative design and artisanship. Students will gain an understanding of the social and ethical issues within fiber arts while creating three projects using two methods each: machine sewing and felting, knitting and crochet, and embroidery with hand-sewing. Students will also be introduced to sculptural fiber art and design.
