HEATWORK 3.0: VisArts Ceramic Students

Feburary 15, 2023 – April 23, 2023

Concourse Gallery

This show celebrates the vibrant and thriving VisArts ceramics community and the strong and creatively inspired collaboration between its students and faculty. With more than 300 students enrolling in its 12-week sessions, VisArts ceramics supports beginners through advanced students in all aspects of ceramic creation, including wheel throwing, handbuilding, sculpture, surface decoration, alternative firing techniques, raku, and glaze applications.

Many of the students and faculty in this show have found VisArts ceramics program a place for personal growth and exploration and its community a place of joy and friendship. At its core VisArts’ ceramics program is a vital facet of its art community and performs an integral role of transforming lives through art.
