Inside Art: Geometric Painting Workshop with Sughra Hussainy

Master Illumination Manuscript painter Sughra Hussainy will be leading a virtual workshop on geometric design and painting on Saturday August 21, 28, and September 4 from 4PM-6PM. Sughra will guide the class through creating a design with graph paper, the process of tracing and pattern making, and painting.
VisArts Sanctuary Studio Fellow, Sughra Hussainy, is a painter, educator and textile artist currently based in Baltimore MD. Sughra studied traditional painting and wood carving at the Turquoise Mountain School in Afghanistan. After being invited to the U.S. to exhibit her work at the Smithsonian Freer Sackler Galleries of Art, Hussainy received her Masters in Fine Art from the Community Art program at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
