In this class, beginning through intermediate-level students will learn to draw portraits through observation of live models. Eric will take students through a step-by-step process of finding angles, shapes, and proportions to create an accurate representation of the model. The principle of working from general forms to specific details will be explored. Short and long poses will provide opportunities for both dynamic gesture sketches and more developed studies.
If desired, materials may be purchased from VisArts and can be picked up before the first class. Or materials may be purchased at any good art supply store.
