Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
This course focuses on the essential techniques of fine art drawing using professional-grade media on paper, including lead, graphite, conte, charcoal, pastel, and ink. You’ll learn key drawing techniques such as Gesture, Contour Line, Continuous Line, Value Shading, Drapery, Hatching, Cross Hatching, Value Line, Perspective, Texture, and Stippling.
Through instructor-assigned subjects, you’ll explore various styles like Representational, Abstraction, and Non-Objectivism. You’ll also have the chance to reflect on your aesthetic preferences, personal insights, and social commentary, helping you develop a unique, personal approach to expressing yourself through art.
This class is for ages 14 and up.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
