Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
Foundations of Art is designed to help students develop a high-quality portfolio, a crucial component for applying to art programs at universities, magnet schools, or art programs. A strong portfolio showcases not only technical proficiency but also creativity and artistic versatility, playing a key role in admissions decisions. This course offers tailored guidance based on the student’s intended major and the specific requirements of the target schools. Each session runs for six weeks, during which students will complete one project. For a well-rounded portfolio, it is recommended to include 4-5 fully developed projects.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
