A retrospective of master metalsmith, Komelia Okim, reveals the artist’s astonishing ability to embed the energies of life in jewelry, sculpture and installation. Okim’s impeccably designed objects are spirited observations of the gestures and moods of humans and nature. They reflect a life-long interest in the dynamic exchange between cultures, traditions and histories with the YING YANG principle of Eastern Dualism as a guiding force. About the Artist: As a Korean-American artist and educator over the past 39 years, Komelia Okim has had numerous solo as well as group exhibitions, and has given many metal technique workshops and lectures in Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Russia, Norway, UK, and USA

Artist Talk: Sunday, September 7, 2:00 PM.
