This four-week class will explore abstraction, its history, and its execution. We will examine works by artists of the modern era and use them as inspiration for our own work. We will focus on composition, color, and gesture as well as the meaning of abstraction using a variety of materials such as paint, pastels, pencils on paper, and canvas. Materials included.
This class has a limited enrollment of six. Students will be required to wear surgical, KN95, or N95 masks and our classrooms will be set up for optimal social distancing. Required masks will be available in the main office if needed.Â
