Drawing (Seeing!) with Charcoal

Discover the bold, messy fun of working with charcoal. It’s a medium that demands confidence yet lets you smudge, move, wipe, and draw over your marks as you go. 

In this class, you’ll explore the unique qualities of charcoal as a tool for seeing more clearly, dynamically, and fearlessly. We’ll work primarily from still life and interiors, with one session devoted to a clothed model. 

While prior drawing experience is helpful, it’s not required. You’ll also be encouraged to do out-of-class exercises to strengthen your in-class work. 

This class is for ages 14 and up.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed three days prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
