Drawing for Tweens and Teens (Ages 11-17)

Instructor:

Carla Duran

Students will explore the expressive potential of charcoal and pastels while developing foundational skills in portraiture and observational drawing. Through guided exercises and individual projects, participants will learn techniques for shading, blending, and capturing realistic proportions. Emphasis will be placed on observing light, shadow, and facial features to create dynamic and lifelike portraits. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this class offers a supportive environment for young artists to build confidence and explore creative expression.

Children under 13 must be dropped off and picked up at their classroom by a parent or caregiver.

Please use the Notes section during registration to list any accommodations needed during the class.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
