Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) is a Mexican celebration honoring loved ones who have passed away with elaborate decorations, beautifully crafted altars, and special dishes.
We invite you to explore the rich heritage and vibrant traditions of the Day of the Dead in this hands-on workshop. Participants will craft sugar skull masks, crepe-paper marigolds, monarch butterflies, and commemorative niche frames for displaying photos and mementos of the departed.
Each person who wants to make a project needs to register. Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult.
