Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
Unleash your inner artist in “Born to Fly”, an all new high-energy workshop led by VisArts Associate Artist – Dunnie Onasanya. This immersive class fuses palette knife painting with elements of action painting, encouraging bold, physical engagement with the canvas and the freedom to create from emotion and instinct.
Inspired by the powerful universal symbolism of the butterfly, this workshop is a celebration of transformation, growth, and liberation. With Dunnie as your guide, you’ll explore vibrant color palettes, rich textures, and expressive motion to craft your own unique abstract butterfly inspired masterpiece.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, this class invites you to break boundaries, trust your creative process, and fly freely into your next artistic chapter.
Part of our Cocktails and Canvas series, this event is perfect for anyone looking to relax, create, and have fun—no experience needed. You’ll start with a partially sketched canvas and get step-by-step guidance from Dunnie O. Supplies are included, and so are the snacks and sodas—just show up and get creative. Wine and beer are also available for purchase—don’t forget your ID!
This class is for ages 18 and up.

Note: This is a one-time class, so make sure you arrive on time. We can’t let anyone in more than 15 minutes after the class starts, and unfortunately, there’s no rescheduling if you miss it.
