Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
Learn from a master, Xiaosheng Bi, how to paint this year’s zodiac animal—the Snake—using a bamboo brush and traditional ink. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into Chinese calligraphy, an ancient art form that emphasizes balance, elegance, and the expressive beauty of brushstrokes.
Mr. Bi will also provide examples of other zodiac signs if you’d like to paint the animal from your birth year.
Ages 5 and up. Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult.
