Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
In this one-night ceramics class, you’ll build a clay trinket shelf by hand, then decorate it with underglaze paints—perfect for showing off your tiny treasures, weird collectibles, or whatever makes you smile.
Never touched clay before? No problem. This class is beginner-friendly, no pressure, and more fun than scrolling your phone for two hours.
We’ve got all the supplies ready, plus snacks and sodas. Want to sip while you sculpt? Beer and wine are available to purchase—just bring your ID. The bar opens at 7 PM.
Your finished piece will be fired and ready for pickup in about two weeks. We’ll hold onto it for 12, in case life gets in the way.
We guarantee the class and experience, but not the end product; sometimes pieces break in the kiln due to construction imperfections.
Note: This is a one-time class, so we ask that you arrive on time. To make sure everyone has the best experience without interruptions, we can’t allow entry more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start. If you arrive late, you won’t be admitted and won’t be eligible to reschedule.
Each student may keep one finished piece—no exceptions for additional work.
This class is for ages 18 and up.
