This exciting two-hour workshop with Armando Lopez-Bircann will give an overview of how to self-teach, troubleshoot, integrate self-care and navigate the expectations and challenges of creating multi-disciplinary work. The workshop covers digital assets that include Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), 3D printing, video, audio and images.
The Extended Reality (XR) workshop focuses on the workflows, resources and mindsets required for multi-disciplinary art making and covers the combination of technologies , including 2D media, 3D models, music, performance and wearables.
A computer or smart device (phone/tablet) and access to the Internet are required to apply workshop techniques to one’s art practice, but are not required to participate fully in the workshop.
Bio: Armando Lopez-Bircann is a Latinx artist with an Extended Reality (XR) practice framed by immigrant narratives, genderfluid expression, digital native sensibilities and a Queer Ecofeminist lens.
