Students will explore inking techniques, both in black and white, dip pens as well as Micron pens and colored inks. The pattern shown is by William Morris. We will do patterns such as this, as well as still lifes, with real flowers and fruits. We will have an arrangement set up on camera, as well as have students receive some close-up photos in advance of the setup, that they will work from. We’ll look at illustrations from other eras, as well as the work of contemporary artists, to create a piece suitable for framing.Â
