Maryland has 436 documented species, according to the Audubon Society. We will be focusing on one species per week. Here is the lineup: Pileated Woodpecker, Baltimore Oriole, Solitary Sandpiper (shown in the image), Loon, Carolina Wren, and Gray Catbird. We will focus on the anatomy and colors of the bird itself, working from photos, up close and personal, and enlarging to 11” x 14” size, without drawing backgrounds.
