In this class covering wheel fundamentals students will learn the skills necessary to throw cylinders, cups, bowls and more.  Your instructor guides you through the process of throwing, shaping and trimming pots on the wheel.  Basic surface decoration and glazing techniques are also demonstrated. This class is designed for students with little or no experience on the potter’s wheel and may be taken more than once to establish and refresh basic wheel throwing skills.

This class may be used for a requisite for VisArts Advanced Beginner and beyond classes.

Please buy clay prior to your first class and it will be waiting for you on the first day. https://www.visartscenter.org/clay/
