Accessible Arts: Working on the Wheel

Instructor:

Kim Swanner

VisArts’ Accessible Arts classes offer inclusive instruction for students with disabilities, with curricula designed to support a wide range of needs. Instructors provide personalized assistance and are attentive to sensory sensitivities, ensuring a supportive and welcoming environment. Each student must be accompanied by a support staff member, who may attend free of charge.

This class introduces students to the ceramics wheel, teaching the basics of shaping clay into functional and decorative works of art. The class fee includes clay, as well as all firing and glazing.

This class is for ages 14 and up.

Please use the Notes section on the registration form to list needed accommodations.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
