Abstract art is about expression. Life can feel heavy sometimes and having a creative outlet to make it lighter is priceless. If you want to express yourself but need some guidance, Abstraction: Working Large is for you!
In this class, students with basic knowledge of painting with acrylic on canvas will learn about abstract art and working large.
We’ll cover the materials to have on hand and how to set up a workspace, paint a beautiful background with unusual tools, and find your inner artistic voice. We’ll use elements of abstract painting, including color value, mark making, composition, collage, and textures, and explore various ways of moving through a painting to the end.
