Enjoy a workshop of poetry and abstract painting with teaching artist Martina Sestakova. We will refer to Mary Oliver’s poems as the inspiration for intuitive visual exploration. May words be interpreted through colors, shapes, and textures? Join in and see! You will explore the exciting interaction of words and watercolors in abstract compositions. NO experience is needed.
Materials Needed:
- 5-7 sheets of watercolor paper (cut to 5″ x 7″)
- 1-2 sheets of watercolor paper (9″ x 12″)
- 1 cup for water
- 1 watercolor paints (tray or tubes)
- 1 pencil
- 1 sheet of copy paper
Instruction will be provided through the Zoom platform. Students will need to have a webcam and the ability to download zoom on their computer, phone, or tablet. Once you register for the class, you will be sent an e-mail with the Zoom URL to log in to the class. Please provide a correct and viable e-mail address when registering as this is how you receive your link.
