Enjoy a workshop of poetry and abstract painting with art educator Martina Sestakova. We will refer to Mary Oliver’s poems for inspiration for intuitive visual explorations. May words be interpreted through colors, shapes, and textures? Join in and see! You will learn the basics of watercolor painting and enjoy the exciting interaction of language and abstract art. No experience is needed: just your curious self!
Supplies for this workshop:
- 5-7 sheets of watercolor paper (cut to 5″ x 7″)
- 2 sheets of watercolor paper (9″ x 12″)
- 1 cup for water
- 1 watercolor paints (tray or tubes)
- 1 brush
- 1 pencil or pen
- 2 sheets of printer/note paper
This class is for ages 14 and up.
Instruction will be provided through the Zoom platform. Students will need to have a webcam and the ability to download zoom on their computer, phone, or tablet. Once you register for the class, you will be sent an e-mail with the Zoom URL to log in to the class.
