Effective January 1: Masks are Optional in VisArts’ Classrooms and Studios
Whether you’re carving your first block or coming back to printmaking after years away, this class makes it easy to jump in.
We’ll use SoftKut blocks, which are far smoother and easier to carve than traditional linoleum, so you can focus on creating instead of wrestling with the material.
You’ll explore a range of carving and inking techniques, work with high-quality inks and papers, and learn how thoughtful composition can take your prints to the next level. We’ll also look at inspiring work from both contemporary and historical printmakers.
By the end, you’ll have the skills and confidence to create multiple copies of an image you’re proud of—and the satisfaction of turning them into meaningful handmade gifts or greeting cards that feel miles beyond anything store-bought.
This class is all about sparking creativity, building skill, and enjoying the rewarding process of printmaking from start to finish.
This class is for ages 14 and up.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
