As a multi-use art center we strive to enrich, enhance and contribute to the quality of life to all our participants and audiences. Our unique space, located in the new Rockville Town Center, unites a beautiful building with fantastic art and artists to create a remarkable space in which to hold your special event.

The building’s interior design and décor are easy to work with: the contemporary interior is amenable to virtually any kind of decorating and the open ceilings give the space a New York loft feel. The galleries have gleaming bamboo wood flooring, the hallways are well-lit, and we have a beautiful contemporary walkway of studios, galleries and glass. The event room is fully carpeted and has an exquisite dropped wood ceiling complete with lighting system. Add to this an outstanding audiovisual and acoustic system, a bride’s changing room, a catering kitchen, large restrooms, a green room for vendors and you have an event site that everyone will admire.

We host events filled with art, culture and creativity. The Event Room is spacious with large windows that look out on a spectacular view of the town square. The room is state- of -the- art, complete with an 11’ projection screen and audio/visual equipment. A catering kitchen has professionally designed working space. This 2,500 square foot space can seat 250 stadium seating, 200 for dinner and 170 for dinner and dancing. The galleries and other spaces at VisArts are available to help with any of your space needs.

The VisArts staff is very accommodating and goes out of their way to help make your event remarkable. They are knowledgable about local vendors and can recommend the perfect caterer, photographer, event planners and musicians to make your event a success.

Even though our room rentals are often scheduled in advance, we will make every attempt to accommodate your schedule. Please note that the gallery space can be rented when exhibitions allow for events. Our events coordinator can let you know which exhibitions can accommodate social events. Ample parking is located within a short walk and we also provide the option of valet service for an additional fee.
